Whiteway Craft is a small foundry, started by
me, Steve, in 1988, after serving an apprenticeship at the beginning of 1977.
My brother, Duncan, joined the foundry in 1991.
When I first started the foundry, I made house signs and cremation plaques. This led to making plates for the Gloucester Wagon Works, my first connection with Railwayana.
This in turn led to making Vintage Car and Motorcycle castings, a market that we still supply today.
In 2017 I introduced a small range of Railwayana, including Scale Cast Signals, Scale Cast Ground Lever Sets, House, Shed and Workshop Nameplates, Station Signs and Trackside Warning Signs.
Because we can make our own patterns we are able to keep the costs down to a minimum. When we need technical assistance, we can call on a good friend of ours, Jon Greenaway, a time served pattern-maker.
We welcome any suggestions for products to add to the range.
In the 1990's we were commissioned to make parts of the Roller Coaster for a Chrunchie add.
